MEET OUR FOUNDER

Shannon McGuire

Strategist. Coach. Speaker. Author. Mom of 4.

Above all else, Shannon is a mom. As a mother of four kids spanning two generations—and grandmother of one—she’s built and honed valuable skills that she wants to pass on to others—parents and nonparents alike. She believes that the art and science of “momming” can help every human on this planet feel good about being themselves, and that’s the key to a better world.

Shannon has overcome some massive barriers to get where she is. She’s advanced from living as a teen mom in poverty to a SupreME Mom living in prosperity and joy as a successful business owner, entrepreneur, and community leader.

Today, Shannon is doing the work she loves, living with the family she loves, and leading the life she loves. She knows who she is, what she wants, and how to get it—all while feeling good about being herself.

This conviction is why Shannon created SupreME Moms®—an organization dedicated to sharing mom wisdom to help people conquer obstacles and thrive.

Shannon applies her mom skills in her many roles: strategist, entrepreneur, community leader, speaker, and coach. She’s founder and CEO (chief empowerment officer) of Spark! Strategic Solutions, an Idaho-based consultancy helping leaders build harmonious and co-creative communities. She’s also the founder of Project 8B, a nonprofit that’s investing in a generation of caring bridge-builders to improve mental and emotional well-being.

She has worked with many nonprofits as a board member, president, and volunteer to help mentor teen leaders, reduce poverty, encourage reading and writing, increase access to healthy food, and strengthen communities.

As a coach, she holds the following certifications:

  • Gallup® Certified Strengths Coach

  • Mind Body Eating Coach; Institute for the Psychology of Eating

  • HeartMath® Certified Trainer and Mentor; HeartMath® Institute

  • EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360; Mental Health Systems, Inc.

  • FIRO-B® Certified Practitioner; The Meyers-Briggs Company

Shannon is an author, too. In her book To (M)others from the Hood: Conquering Fear, Uncertainty, and Chaos in Life’s Most Difficult Hood, she tells her personal story and clearly spells out the lessons she’s learned along her journey. Her goal is to help both mothers and others leap over and break through barriers so they can achieve serenity, fulfillment, and joy.
